The Harry Hawkes Summer Raceday is organised by Quicksilver Running, a trading name of KBC Special Events Limited.

The Race Director is Peter Wedderburn, a Director of KBC Special Events Limited. Peter has organised the Harry Hawkes 10 since 2013 and is committed to the long term development of the race, which he believes is one of the most enjoyable events on the local race calendar. Quicksilver running are  a locally based organiser of running events, which include the Hampton Court Half Marathon which launched in February 2014 and the Royal Borough of Kingston Half Marathon, which ran for the first time in September 2016 following the successful staging of the Royal Borough of Kingston 10 miles in October 2015. Quicksilver also organise the Royal Borough of Kingston Spring Raceday, which will offer three distances in 2020, at 8, 16 and 20 mile distances.

Race Director Peter Wedderburn also organises events for the Stragglers Running and is the race organiser for the River Relay and the Cabbage Patch 10. Peter is a regular “mid pack” runner taking part in Marathons, half marathons and shorter distance running and has currently completed 450 parkruns.
